State Rep. Marti Coley is standing up for her constituents who want evolution taught as theory not fact.
Coley says she's not trying to cause a ruckus but thinks the proposed changes in state educational standards for science go too far.

The State Board of Education is to act on the standards Feb. 19.

"All I have I requested is that they go back in and where they've used 'evolution' alone, they use the word 'theory' beside it."
