IMPROVE OUR SCHOOLS -- As a high school and college teacher with a degree in education, Marti Coley has first-hand experience with this critical issue. She knows Florida's children must be better prepared to face a fast-changing world. As our legislator she will support measures that increase local control of our schools and improve accountability.
PROTECT OUR FAMILIES -- Marti Coley will be a vocal leader for legislation that upholds and strengthens the culture of life and promotes the decency of our society. Habitual sex offenders who prey on our children should be dealt with swiftly and surely by our justice system. At the same time, she will stand up to those forces that threaten the stability of the family and that attack people of faith.
PRESERVE OUR ENVIRONMENT -- Our area's natural resources are precious and deserve protection for this and future generations. Marti Coley will be a good steward of our environment in the Florida Legislature.
HONOR OUR TROOPS, PAST AND PRESENT -- Marti Coley will be a tireless advocate on behalf of active military, working to protect our bases from possible closure and ensuring that the votes of our service men and women stationed overseas are counted. She'll be a strong voice for north Florida's veterans and their families, too, pushing for more places of honor throughout the state and greater recognition of their sacrifice in our schools.
CUT TAXES FURTHER-- As the mother of three, Marti Coley understands that taxes continue to take a big "bite" out of the household budget. That's why you can count on her to demand even more tax relief for Florida citizens. Like our President and our Governor, Marti believes tax dollars should be returned to the people who earned them whenever possible -- not left for politicians to spend on bigger government.
